Gunther: What did I tell you about talking to your friends while youre working?
Gunther: That guy (points) has been waiting for his coffee for ten minutes! Hes complained about you three times! (He hands the coffee cup to Joey, assuming that Joey will deliver it and walks away.)
Gunther: (entering with the cat) I just came for the red-velvet pillow.
GUNTHER: Yeah.
(Shes interrupted by a loud crash and the sound of braking dishes. Followed quickly by another crash. Everyone turns and looks at the back room, as Gunther emerges.)
GUNTHER: I um, was sorta thinking about maybe...
GUNTHER: Lemonade? You ok man?
Gunther: Hes getting married tomorrow right?
GUNTHER: Oh, that's too bad. How'd they do it?
ROSS: Alright, that's it. I've had enough of this, alright. Gunther, these guys are trying to take our seat.
CHANDLER: I think you played the Gunther card too soon.
MONICA: What? [she runs over to where Phoebe is, Phoebe signals for Gunther to go] I don't see anything.
GUNTHER: What?
Gunther: Okay, here are the tips for this morning. Jen gets 50, 50 for me, and Joey owes eight dollars.

[Scene: Monica and Chandler's, the party continues with Rachel leaning on the counter as Gunther walks in carrying candy.]
Ross: (to Gunther) Thank you.
Isabella: (to Gunther) Um, coffee to go, please.
Gunther: What does Rachel see in this guy? I love Rachel. I wish she was my wife.
Gunther: Oh, like you dont already have everything.
Ross: Hi Gunther.
Gunther: Yeah, well see!

GUNTHER: Fellas, these guys were here first.
Gunther: Rachel?

[cut to Gunther retraining Rachel.]
Gunther: (to Monica and Phoebe) Hey guys.
(Gunther walks up)

Ross: Gunther! Gunther. Gunther, please tell me you didnt say anything to Rachel about me and the girl from the Xerox place.
Gunther: (to Chandler) Someone in there?
Gunther: They already do. Thats why they call it the tray spot.
Gunther: Im sorry. Was I not supposed to?
(Gunther tries to swoop in to ask Rachel out.)
Gunther: (to Chandler) Oh, no-no, no-no-no, theres none of that in here.
Gunther: Here you go.
Gunther: Are you all right?
Gunther: Sorry. She thought you were somebody else.
Rachel: Gunther, Gunther, please, Ive worked here for two and a half years, I know the empty trays go over there. (points to the counter.)
[cut to Gunther retraining Rachel.]
Gunther: When's your birthday?
Rachel: No, its not gonna be okay Ross, tomorrow is my last day, and I dont have a lead. Okay, y'know what, Im just gonna, Im just gonna call Gunther and Im gonna tell him, Im not quitting.
Gunther: Do you remember when you first came here, how you spent two weeks getting trained by another waitress?
Gunther: Rachel?
Gunther: Yeah, whatever. (Walks away)
Phoebe: Gunther, kiss me.
Gunther: So umm, are we cool?
Gunther: I knew you'd understand.
Ross: Thanks, Gunther. (takes the plate Gunther serves him and Rachel comes up and kisses him) (to Rachel) Hey! (to Gunther) Umm, can I get a napkin too?
Monica: (turning around and doing that, "I'm making out with someone," thing with her hands) Ooh, umm, oh Kathy! Kathy, I love you! Oh! (She turns around and sees Gunther staring at her and stops suddenly.)
(Phoebe grabs Gunther and kisses him. He then falls to the couch in shock.)
Gunther: Rachel?
Gunther: I like it. (sneezes)
Gunther: Move!
Gunther: What?
Gunther: I thought you were Chandler. But umm, one of who is over there.
Joey: (entering) Hey Gunther, have you uh, have you seen Chandler?
Rachel: What do you get? (She throws her pom-poms to Joey and Phoebe and performs a cartwheel.) Emily!! (Tries to do another one.) EmilWhoa!! (She falls in Chandlers room.) Okay! So thats me as a cheerleader! Ta-dum! (Gunthers the only one that claps.)
Ross: (to Isabella) Hi! Hi, Im Ross, you dont know me, but Im a big, big fan of yours. I mean, Blue Velvet, woo-oo hoo! Um, I was wondering if I could um, maybe buy you a cup of coffee? (Gunther hands her change) Or maybe reimburse you for that one?
[Gunther slips and falls just before reaching the back of the couch. Monica and Phoebe come into Central Perk.]
Gunther: Oh, I-I'm just making a list of people's birthdays.
Chandler: (to Gunther) Y'know what Gunther, go ah, go ahead, Im-Im talking to ah, (tries to get her to say her name). (to her) This is the part where you say your name.
[Scene: Central Perk, Gunther is pouring Rachel coffee.]
Gunther: Good one.
Danny: (To Gunther) Two pounds of Moca Java please.
[Cut to Gunther and Emily.]
Gunther: Rachel is my girlfriend.
Gunther: Oh umm, uh we dont sell cigarettes, but they have them at the newsstand across the street. (Points.)
Monica: Hey Gunther. Hi. (to Phoebe) I mean youre going out on a date with the noisy guy upstairs?
Gunther: YOU IDIOT!!!!!
[Gunther gets up slowly from behind the couch and walks away sadly]
Joshua: What?! (Gunther is listening in.)
Joey: Ah, Gunther, I cant pay for this right now because Im not working, so Ive had to cut down on some luxuries like uh, payin for stuff.
Gunther: Im sorry. Was I not supposed to?
ROSS: Thank you Gunther. We didn't want to have to go and do that.
Gunther: Ill be there.
Gunther: (to Ross) Thanks for not marrying Rachel. (He starts to leave.)
Gunther: Whats my last name?
(He turns and looks at her. The woman whispers something to Gunther; who comes back and takes the mug away from Chandler.)
The Stripper: Okay, which one of you guys is Gunther Central-Perk? (Sees Joey.) Hey, Joey?
Gunther: (To the guy) Get out!
Rachel: Yeah, I guess Gunther is kinda
Gunther: I'll take it all.
Gunther: You can't.
[Scene: Central Perk, Gunther is serving Monica and Rachel.]
Ross: Yeah. You can help me get my furniture back from Gunther.
GUNTHER: That sucks. I was buried in an avalanche.
Gunther: But then I'd have to go all the way around the dry cleaner place.
Gunther: Here's your scone.
Monica: If you would stop thinking about Ross for one minute you would notice that there are great guys everywhere! I mean, look! Look, Gunther! (Gunther turns to listen in.) I mean, he's nice, he's cute.
