Conan: Its a tradition here on Friends after every taping for me to hang out with you guys, (They all laugh) talk down the episode umm The point of this whole thing is what people see in America is: they see Friends, they love the show, it looks like a smooth running machine, but behind the scenes theres deceit, mistrust, and hate. And I thought, I thought wed actually take a look at uh, yknow some of these moments where you guys arethere are mistakes. You make mistakes.
Ursula: All right, hang on! (She takes the note, goes back into her apartment and slams the door shut.)

Joey: Yeah! And I like to hang out in a quiet place where I can talk to my friends.
Ross: Ok, no, no, you hang up. You, you, y(Rachel grabs the phone and hangs it up for him.)
Rachel: (breaking the hug) Uhh, hang in there?
Phoebe: So you guysll stay here and hang out with me?
Ross: Oh, that is so sweet.(listens) No, no, ok, you hang up. Ok, ok, one, two, three.(He doesn't hang up and motions for Rachel to be quiet.) Well you didn't hang up either.
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Ross is trying to hang up on Julie.]
Rachel: She didn't hang up either...
Joey: Oh unless you uh, you wanna hang around.
Monica: I'd rather hang out with a sniveling work weasel guy when I can be hanging out with my boyfriend who I actually respect.
Chandler: Hey, you know what, here's a thought. Why don't you stay home from work today and just hang out with me.
Chandler: Yknow? So I was thinking that we could get one of those signs and hang it over our bed. Because, thats you and I together! Merge!
Rachel: (to the closed door) Hang in there. You hang in there. (Gives him the raspberry.)
Chandler: Kip, my old roommate, y'know we all used to hang out together.
Joey: No man, that's huge! Now, I know I can stand to be around her, which means I get to hang out with you, which is kinda the whole point, anyway.
Ross: Youre great. And I-I know someday this will happen for you too. You just hang in there.
Rachel: Yeah, y'know I-I think I'm just gonna hang out in my room.
CHANDLER: Hey, you just wanna forget about raquetball and hang out here?

Phoebe: Well, then you should come tonight. You know, just hang out with them. Let them see what a great guy you still are.
Ross: (sounds excited) Hi you guys! what's going on, you... you guys wanna hang out...or...? (Looks around the room nervously) do you...do you guys hear a buzzing?
Joey: Uh, hang out?! How long?
Rachel: They sent me home from work. They were like, "Start your maternity leave now! Just rest, get ready for the baby." Well yknow what? Screw em! If they dont want me there, Ill just hang out with you guys.
Chandler: Well, why does she not want to hang out with us?!

Ross: (looking down) M-maybe I should hang and you can climb down me.
Monica: Rosss apartment is nice! How come we don't hang out here more often?
Phoebe: No-no wait-wait! I cant just let you hang up! Just please talk to me.
Phoebe: No! Im not finished yet! Dont! Dont you dare hang up on me!!!
Monica: When girls hang out, we dont have pillow fights in our underwear. (Chandler gets a hurt look on his face.) Im sorry. We do. We do. I dont know why I said that.
Joey: Hang up, hang up. (reaches with his good arm, but Phoebe grabs it and he tries to reach the phone with his other arm but can't because of the sling.)
Joey: You hung up on the pizza place? I dont hang up on your friends.
The Director: Hang on a minute! Joey, you keep touching your face. Is something wrong?
Chandler: Well he doesnt have to know! Its not like we run in the same circles. I hang out with you guys, and he stars in a drag show in Vegas.
Joey: Hey, hang up! You get food poisoning just talkin to that place.
Chandler: Well we we still hang out.
Rachel: Right! Right! I-I actually meant in your spare time, do you cook? Do you ski? Or do you just hang out with your wife or girlfriend?
Phoebe: So do you want to hang out or something?
Joey: So, were walking down the street and I turn to you and I say, Hey, lets go hang out at Totally Nude Nudes, remember? And then, and then, you turn to me and say, Nah, lets just hang out at your place. Well, that was a nice move dumb ass.

Ross: Hey, do you guys think that if all those things happened, wed still hang out?
Phoebe: Not if nothing happens. Why can't... why can't we just hang out as friends?
Elizabeth: Yeah! Im just going down there to relax and hang out with my friends.

Just kidding, you are of course fired.
Monica: Sure! If you're just gonna hang out as friends, then maybe I'll join ya. You know, I'm your friend (to Phoebe) and Mike's friend (Mike is sceptical).
Chandler: Hang on, she’s right here. (he enters the living room and hands the phone to Monica) Someone's on the phone, for ya.
Chandler: Yeah, I miss that too. I tell you what; from now on well make time to hang out with each other.
Chandler: Yeah, I don't know why we hang out with married couples more often.
Chandler: Well maybe if you go to school here next year we can totally hang out.
Phoebe: Uh, Rach, hang on.
Joey: Uh, theyre like my best friends. Are you saying we cant hang out with them? Cause that would kinda be a problem.
Phoebe: These are not mine... Look how flimsy they are, come on! Good God! You try to hang a guy from a waterpipe with these, they'll snap like a piece of licorice.
Rachel: Ooh, is this one of those things where you throw it in a bag with some graveyard dirt and hang it from a north-facing tree?
Phoebe: If you wanted to punish them, you shouldve just made them hang out here!
Chandler: Hang on buddy! (He goes over and unlocks the door and opens it to reveal a fully furnished apartment.)
Chip: Oh yeah, I still hang with Simmons and Zana, y'know. I see Spindler a lot. Devane, Kelly, and I run into Goldie from time to time. Steve Brown, Zuchoff, McGwire, J.T., Breadsly.
CHANDLER: Hey. Well, you will all be pleased to know that I have a date tomorrow night. This woman, Alison, from work. She's great. She's pretty, she's smart. And uh, I've been holding off on asking her out in the past, because she has an unusually large head. But, I'm not gonna let that stuff hang me up anymore. Look at me. I'm growing.
Rachel: Really?! Arent you sweet! I gotta tell you though, I am, I am having the hardest time placing you. Oh-oh hang on! Did we umm, did we fool around at Lance Davis graduation party?

Stanley: It-it's probably just temporary. We're hoping to get some more money soon, so if could just uh, hang out.
Allesandro: Why? So you could hang up on me?
Phoebe: Okay, I'm gonna go too. I'm gonna go to the airport. I figure if I hang around there long enough, someone's bound to leave one of those planes unattended.
Joey: Hey! Dont you hang up on me! Ill marry you and me right now! I have the power!
Jennifer: Shes trying to intrigue us to hang out with her.
