[Scene: A Street: Monica and Phoebe are walking to a newsstand.]
Monica: Why?
Monica: Oh my God. (Grabs Phoebe and turns her away) Phoebe. Don't look now, but behind us is a guy who has the potential to break our hearts and plunge us into a pit of depression.
Monica: He's coming. Be cool, be cool, be cool.
Monica and Phoebe: (in unison) Thanks.
Monica: We are not going to whistle.

Monica: (Shouts to the guy) Woo-woo!
(The guy turns round, startled. Monica points to Phoebe. The guy gets hit by a truck)
Monica: Why did I 'woo-hoo'? I mean, what was I hoping would happen? That-that he'd turn round and say 'I love that sound, I must have you now'?
Monica: Phoebe, what are you doing?
Monica: I wish we at least knew his name... Look at that face. I mean, even sleeping, he looks smart. I bet he's a lawyer.
Monica: Okay, he's a lawyer, who teaches sculpting on the side. And- he can dance!
Monica: I wish all guys could be like him.
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Monica and Phoebe are telling everyone about their coma guy.]
Monica: He doesn't have anyone.
Monica: Last night.
[Scene: The Hospital, it's a montage of Monica and Phoebe's visit to the hospital with My Guy playing in the background. It starts with Monica reading a newspaper to him.]
Monica: Let's see. Congress is debating a new deficit reduction bill... the mayor wants to raise subway fares again... the high today was forty-five... and- oh, teams played sports.
[Next is a shot of them dragging an enormous plant into the room, then Monica knitting a sweater, then Phoebe singing, then Phoebe shaving him and chatting to Monica]
Monica: Nah... not-not special enough.
Monica: Waaay too special.
[Scene: A Mexican Restaurant, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and his mom are there.]
Monica: Yeah.
(Monica and Rachel's door opens and Rachel and Paolo emerge)
(Joey and Ross go into Monica and Rachel's apartment)
Monica: (Entering) What are you guys doing here?
Monica: ...What did I ask?
[Scene: Hospital. Phoebe is there stroking Coma Guy's hair, when Monica enters with a bunch of balloons.]
Monica: Hi.
Monica: What are you doing here?
Monica: I'm not really here. Just thought I'd drop these off...on the way.. my way... Do you come here a lot? Without me?
Phoebe: No. (Monica brushes Coma Guy's hair in the other direction) No! No! ...So, um, do you think he's doing any better than he was this morning?
Monica: How would I know? I-I wasn't here.
[Scene: Central Perk, everyone is there except for Chandler. Rachel is writing something and Monica walks up.]
Monica: Hey.
Monica: (Reading) 'A Woman Undone, by Rachel Karen Green'.
Monica: (Reads) Yeah, I'd say so. And there's no 'j' in 'engorged'.
Monica: Hello.
Monica: No, you?
Monica: You just asked me.
Phoebe: Thanks. Hi, um, 'kay. I'd like to start with a song that's about a man that I recently met, who's, um, come to be very important to me. (Monica gives her a look) 'Kay. (Sung:)
(She sees Monica sneaking out) Okay, thank you very much, I'm gonna take a short break! (Runs out, knocking over the mike stand)
[Scene: The Coma Guy's Room, Monica bursts in, closely followed by Phoebe. There is no sign of Coma Guy. His bed is empty.]
Monica: Oh! You're awake!
Monica: You look good!
Monica: Oh, sorry.
Monica: I'm Monica Geller. I've been taking care of you.
Monica: I got you the foot massager.
Monica: I read to you.
Phoebe: I sang. (To Monica) Hah!
Monica: Oh, my pleasure.
Monica: "See you around?"
Monica: Oh, I don't know. Maybe, um, "That was nice?" Admit something to me? "I'll call you?"
Monica: This is so typical. Y'know, we give, and we give, and we give. And then- we just get nothing back! And then one day, y'know, it's just, you wake up, and "See you around!" Let's go, Phoebe.
(Joey runs off down the hall. Ross tries Monica and Rachel's apartment, but it is locked so he has to stand in the hall and pretend he wasn't listening. Chandler and his mom come out)
(Ross knocks on Monica and Rachel's door)
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Rachel is handing out copies of her book to the gang.]
Monica: What's a 'niffle'?
[Cut to Monica and Chandler's, Sick Monica is trying to entice Chandler to have sex with her.]
Monica: (bursting into tears) My boyfriend said he didn't like my massages.
Monica: Spoon? (Hands him one and he tastes it.) So, what do you think?
Monica: I think we found a place.
Monica: Umm, wait! Do you want to set the mood a little?
Monica: It is in the living room where there is also a light! And no one will kick you in the shin.

Rachel: Um look I was thinking.. If its ok with Monica I would like to invite Amy to Thanksgiving.
[Scene: Back in the kitchen at the funeral. Phoebe is there, Monica enters.]
Rachel: Here. (Hands her to Monica.)
Ben: Auntie Monica!! (He runs to hug her.)
Monica: Whats the matter?
Monica: Its okay honey, youll find a name.
Monica: Okay. Its Emma.
Monica: Take it.

Monica: Its clearly an Emma.
[Scene: The Portrait Studio, Monica is waiting for Chandler to make another attempt at taking a good picture.]
Monica: I cant believe were here.
Monica: I know there'll be other houses, but it's just so... I love that one so much.

Monica: Isnt she beautiful?
Phoebe: (To Monica) Oh and I need to talk to you.
Monica: This is a garden view room, and we paid for an ocean view room.

Joey: R-R-Richard said he wants to marry you?! (Monica nods yes.) And-and Chandlers tellin ya how much he hates marriage?!
Monica: (following her) Ill give you really good odds.

[Scene: Central Perk, Monica is there as Rachel enters.]
Chandler: Hello sir, you know Monica.

Monica: I know that switch does something, okay? So-so I went down to city hall and got these. All I had to do was pay $25 and wait in line for three hours.
Monica: Damnit! Damnit!! Heres your fifty bucks! (Pays Phoebe.)

Monica: Yeah, were trying to get pregnant.

[Scene: Monica and Chandler's, Monica is standing in the kitchen ready to leave for the rehearsal dinner.]
Monica: I dont feel good right now.

[Scene: Rachels Room, Monica is entering.]

[Scene: The church where Ross and Emily are to be married. Judy, Andrea, and Monica enter together.]
Monica: Okay. Man, I have not made this many cookies since I was in the ninth grade.

[Scene: Monica, Chandler, and Phoebe's, Monica is setting the table for dinner as Chandler enters.]
Monica: Honey why dont you go lie down.
Monica: Phoebe did the signs!
Monica: Hi, uh, Richard it's Monica, um, listen I did something kind of crazy tonight, um, maybe I'm getting my period or something, I don't know. Um, anyway, I, I, I beeped into your machine and I heard a message that, that freaked me out, and um, you know what Michelle will tell you the rest. I, I, um, I'm sorry, okay, I, I hope that we can forget the whole thing. Okay, bye.
[Scene: Ross and Rachels, Phoebe, Monica, Ross, and Rachel are watching Emma sleep.]
Monica: Wow, hes really not letting this go, is he?
Rachel: Monica is Ross' sister.
Monica: Umm, she Rach, not it, she.
Monica: It worked!
Monica: That was me.
[Cut to Monica and Chandler's, The One With George Stephanopoulos, Phoebe is showing Monica and Rachel that she brought Operation to their slumber party.]
Monica: I know, thats why I said again!
Monica: Yeah, but Im the only one related by blood.
Monica: Hey.
Monica: Oh yeah (smiles).

Monica: But I figured, you know, that shouldn't change anything. I mean, what the hell does it matter how old we are.
Monica: About a week and a half.
Monica: Okay. I-I can't watch. (Leaves as sits down to read the paper.)
Monica: Nobody cares about the Dakotas. (Thats true in so many ways, trust me, Ive lived in one and been to the other.)
Monica: Oh my God! Ross, you wouldn't believe the cute little noises the twins are making. Listen.
