PHOEBE: Why are you guys so upset? It's Old Yeller, it's a happy movie.
PHOEBE: C'mon, happy family gets a dog, frontier fun.
PHOEBE: What when Yeller saves saves the family from the wolf and everyone's happy?
MR. GREENE: Happy birthday sweetpea.
Monica: Oh, thats great! I mean Im-Im sorry, but Im so happy for you. And now I can work for you!
MONICA: It's goin' great. Right on schedule. Got my little happy helpers.[everyone groans]
MONICA: Shut up, I'm happy.
Mindy: I hope you can find some way to be happy for me. And I hope you'll still be my maid of honor...?
MRS. GREENE: Happy birthday sweetie.
ROSS: Look, I know you don't want to hear this right now but, we've seen him in his new place, alright. And he's happy, he's, he's decorated.
Chandler: Yeah, I know. She makes me happy.
Monica: I'm sorry, but that's my happy place.
Ross: Okay, Phoebe, this Dr. Oberman. He has no strong feelings about Fonzie or any of the Happy Days gang.
Ross: And everyone's telling me, you gotta pick a major, you gotta pick a major. So, on a dare, I picked paleontology. And you have no idea what I'm saying, because, let's face it, you're a fetus. You're just happy you don't have gills anymore.
Monica: (entering from the bathroom) Hey! Happy Anniversary!
Phoebe: Oh, totally. Oh, God, oh, she seemed so happy too.
Phoebe: Y'know I had a dream where Ross and Rachel were still together, they never broke up. And we were all just like hanging out, and everyone was happy....
[Scene: Howard's party, Phoebe is talking Ross up to two more partygoers. Ross isn't happy about it.]
Ross: (stopping them) Okay-okay! Two very good points, look Ive known you both a long time, and Ive never seen either of you one/millionth as happy as youve been since youve got together. Do you really want to throw that all away over a room? That is so silly. Now wh-what is more important, love or silliness?
[Scene: A couch store, Ross is trying to decide on a new couch for his place. He has dragged Rachel along for the trip, and she's not too happy about it. Ross is sitting on it in different ways to see how it feels. He tries to just sit on it normally, and then he tries flopping on it. One thing about this couch, it's huge. It's like twice the size of a normal full size couch. Whoever designed this thing, needs help and fast.]
Ross: He does not look happy.
Kate: Happy?! Is that what Im supposed to be Vic? Happy?
Chloe: You must be so happy!
JOEY: Great, well, I'm happy for ya. [picks up the orange juice carton and it's empty] Alright that's it. He just comes in here, Mr. Jonny Neweggs, with his, his, his movin' the mail and his, his 'see ya pals'. And now there's no juice. There's no juice f or the people who need the juice and want the juice. I need the juice.
Chandler: Oh-oh, I'm a duck! I go, "Quack, quack!" Im happy all the time!
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, the whole gang is there including Janice, theyre watching Happy Days.]
Chandler: Happy Anniversary, 10 months! (They kiss.)
Phoebe: All right, betting and wagering of any kind, are, I'm sure, not permitted in the happy place. Okay. Just-just, you know, the-the lovely waterfalls, and the, the trickling fountains. And the-the calming sounds of the babbling brook....
Kate: Happy?! Is that what Im supposed to be Vic? Happy?
Monica: My parents will be so happy.
PHOEBE: Happy Christmas Eve Eve. [sees Ross's picture frame] Oh my God, where did you get this?
Phoebe: Well, okay, fine, use my happy place. Okay, I'm just gonna, I have to ask that you don't move anything.
Joeys Sisters: (entering) Joey!!! Happy Birthday!! (all 7 of them look almost identical)
KEVIN: All right. It's no big deal. BILL: So, she has a boyfriend. What is your situation? RACHEL: Oh, well, it's complicated. I don't actually have a boyfriend. But um. . . BILL: Then, can I have your number? RACHEL: (pause) I'm sorry, no. BILL: Okay. (They start to walk away.) RACHEL: Oh sure. (She pulls a business card from her purse and writes on it.) PHOEBE: (Reading the card.) Oh my God, you're giving your real number. BILL: Okay, thanks. I'll give you a call later tonight. RACHEL: Great. BILL: Bye PHOEBE: Bye. (The guys leave.) Wow. So, that's great. You, Bill, Ross, and Emma are going to be so happy together. What were you thinking?
Rachel: I’m telling you guys, we followed them out to a house in Westchester, the went in for like forty-five minutes and then they came out looking pretty happy!
Joey: Were playing Strip Happy Days Game!
Ross: No-no, we talked about it. We dont want to know. All we care about is that its happy and healthy.
Monica: Oh, but its made her so happy.
Phoebe: Well isnt he your friend? Dont you want him to be happy?
Monica: Strip Happy Days Game?
Phoebe: Mon! I'm so happy for you!
Phoebe: Happy Holidays. Feliz Navidad. Allo, and Merry Christmas. (A man put some change in her bucket.) Ohh thank you sir. Here's some joy. (She waves her hand up and down as if she is spreading joy.)
Mona: Yeah, yknow. Happy holidays from Mona and Ross. Itll be cute, okay?
Rachel: (joining them) Well, I just checked our messages and Joshua didnt call. I mean youd think hed be worried about me not showing up at his club. Ugh, you know what makes it so much worse, Ross is all happy in Vermont!
Happy holidays, everybody!
Rachel: Look, I am so so happy for you guys, but you getting married just reminds me of the fact that Im not. Im not even close. And I dont know, maybe I just wanted to make myself feel better. And I know that thats dumb, but oh my God you were so depressed when Ross got married that you slept with Chandler!
Chandler: Hey! Happy birthday.
Ross first has a look of 'huh' then changes it to sarcastic happy: Thank you Amy.
Monica: (happy) Oh.
Phoebe: All right, there are no questions in the happy place. Okay, just, the warm breeze, and the moonlight flowing through the trees....
Ross: Happy for you. (He punches her back.)
Ross: Uh, what you said, about us being in a place where we could finally be happy for each other.
Rachel: No, happy for you! (Hits him harder.)
Rachel: I just y'know, I didnt expect him to be this happy so soon. Ufff. Ooo-ooh! (sits down on the curb)
Joey: It's okay. You know, I totally understand, alright? You guys, make way more sense than her and I ever did, you know. And... I want you to be happy.
Phoebe: No, back to happy. Back to happy!
Frank: (Theyre less than happy now) Oh.
Rachel: Oh, no problem. Im so glad I could help. Happy for you. (She playfully punches him.)
Rachel: Im more than okay, I am really, really happy! Wanna know why?
Ross: Hey, yknow, yknow what would make me really happy?
Chandler: Happy birthday! I'm sorry.
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Phoebes baby shower, she is holding those leather pants, and isnt happy about it.]
Chandler: Yes. Yes, and ah, ah, the trees are happy too, because for most of them, its the only chance to see New York.
Joey: Its just I cant because my manager said I (Gets an idea) (Starts singing) "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Annie
(Monica suddenly gets very happy.)
Rachel: Cause I am really happy about us. I think we are, I think we are so on the right track! Yknow? I mean, I think we are working, I think we are clicking. Yknow?
Big Nosed Rachel: Happy Thanksgiving!
Ross: Happy too.
Susan: I've literally never been this happy.
Phoebe: Happy birthday!
(Dan turns on the TV and the Happy Days theme song comes on.)
Phoebe: Oh God, Im so glad you guys are happy, I was so afraid you were going to be all freaked.
[Everyone else enters and all start singing Happy Birthday.]
Rachel: Oh my God! Thats so great! Im so happy for you guys!
Rachel: (To Joey) Happy New Year, Joey!
Phoebe: Thank you! And Happy Holidays.
ROSS: The point is I... I don't need this right now, OK. It, it's too late, I'm with somebody else, I'm happy. This ship has sailed.
Phoebe: (to the squirrel) Okay, stop tormenting me! This mink! Okay, they're mean! And they hate squirrels! And y'know, okay, most of these probably wanted to be coats! (The squirrel stares at her.) All right, fine, now I get it. (To the clerk.) Here. (She hands him her coat.) You take it. (To the squirrel.) Are you happy now? I'm cold!
Phoebe: Thank you, Happy Holidays.
Ross: (To Phoebe) Happy New Year, Pheebs!
Chandler: (To Monica) Happy New Year!
Monica: Happy New Year.
Phoebe: Wow! Im-Im so happy for you guys. (To Ross) This is so-so, not stupid.
Joey: Well, Chandler's old roomate was Jewish, and these are the only candles we have, so... Happy Chanukah, everyone.
Mr. Geller: Ohh forget it. Too hell with tradition, were happy to do it.
Phoebe: I cant believe that! Now the only thing left of my grandmothers legacy is this crumb. (She picks it up with her finger and holds it out to Monica.) I wish you a long and happy marriage.
Phoebe: Okay! Thanks! Happy Holidays, here's your joy. (She waves her arm and spreads her joy.)
Phoebe: That shes gonna move in with you and maybe then shell fall in love with you and then when she finds out youre already married, shell just be happy. Yknow? Youre just, youre very sad.
Ross: Oh absolutely! It has been in my family for generations, and every bride who has worn it has had a long and happy life.
Rachel: Ross, I said I'm sorry like a million times. What do you want me to do? You want me to break my foot too? Okay, I'm gonna break my foot, right here. (Kicks the sign) Ow!! Oh! Oh my God, oh my God! There, are you happy now?!
Phoebe: (singing) Happy, happy Chanukah, Chandler and Monica. Very merry
Ross: Hey. When you guys were kids and you played Happy Days, who were you? I was always Richie.
Rachel: Its all gonna be okay. Theyre just so happy that Im not suing them that they gave me one extra month paid maternity leave. So long as I understand that the money should not construed as a down payment on this or any other child I should bear.
Phoebe: Okay, see, see, everyone else is happy shes done.
Phoebe: Oh, I'm still mad at them but I also now that they bring happiness to lots of kids who's moms didn't kill themselves, so by supporting them, I'm doing a good thing, but I'm not happy about it. So there, a selfless good deed.
Chandler: Why?! I mean if this guy was me and it was me who had learned that it was me who was the best you'd ever had, I'd be going like this. (He jumps up onto the table and starts doing his happy dance.)
(After she's left, Ross gets really happy and starts kissing the card. Suddenly, she returns.)
Chandler: Were you're parents happy, or something?
(Joey gets all happy with himself, while the rest of the gang is less than enthused.)
Chandler: Scared? Happy?
Gary: No, I mean happy.
Gary: (suddenly happy) Really?!
Phoebe: Uh-huh! (They hug.) I'm so happy. (She's not happy.)
